About Allison Raymunt
Holistic Dog Trainer
I offer empathetic canine education with attention to having a both a confident and well balanced dog. When in an environment that is realistically and compassionately achievable for both the dog and family amazing things happen. Together with goals set, I then utilize high quality, reward based positive reinforcement training with compassionate canine care. I have found that utilizing my background in Animal Reiki has built a better connection with the dog and also helped them through their issues they may need help addressing. I believe in building both a trust and the best bond to strengthen the heart to heart connection between you and your dog. Above all, creating a harmonious relationship by giving you support so that you may achieve your goals, be training capable, confident and successful.
In order to provide the best possible training to my clients, I am CPDT-KA certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Until now I have been working with animals for over 11 years and am a member of the APDT. Specifically to my education, I am a graduate of CATCH Canine Academy for Dog Trainers and Animal Reiki II Certified. In addition to working with my own dog training clients privately, I also teach group dog training classes at the Exceptional Pet in Newtown, CT. My goal is to nurture the bond between humans and animals so that they may improve their quality of life together.
Jackson, my 11 year old boston terrier, undeniably is the resident Casanova. He loves to snuggle, woos all the ladies and is altogether my pretty chill boy. Also, he may help from time to time with introducing dogs who need to meet another dog.
Mojo, my 11 year old Bugg (boston / pug mix), is basically the opposite of of Jackson in almost every way. She has a lot of anxiety issues but has been doing really well on her training journey. You can read about her story here. Mojo is a perfect example of a dog never being too old.
